The Rhineland-Pfalz is just crawling out of a cold snap– if winter was sluggish about arriving for the holidays, it caught up to us with a vengeance last week. Flurries, ice, streets and lawns that didn’t thaw. Winter.
Paying my respects to the season, here are a few winterish photos from a trip to Strasbourg, France last winter–another frightfully cold week.

Gosh, it’s lovely! I passed through once on a bus from Lyon to Prague but it was night-time and we just had time to buy some food and get back on the bus – really must go back!
My photos don’t do it justice–it really is beautiful. And great food and museums!
A beautiful place! I love Strasbourg–and have some friends moving there soon. Just more reasons to re-visit ! 🙂
It looks so pretty! Your photos always make me want to go to new places 🙂
European architecture is so much more interesting than American architecture…
I totally agree.
This brings back memories. We stopped in Strasbourg when we were touring Europe in our motorhome – only because it happened to be on our route – and it was such a fabulous surprise!
It is a gem!
