Saint Nick gets to see rooftops all around the world. The rest of us, not so much.
Here are a few rooftops from my corner of the globe.
Rooftops of Bitche, FranceA few photos of the rooftops of Rothenburg ob der Tauber, GermanyRothenburg, beautiful “fish scale” roof–decrepit yet still sound
Rudesheim am Rhein, Germany, slate “fish scale” roof, 2014
Rooftop at Trier Christmas Market, 2014Rooftops of Paris from the Eiffel Tower, 2008
Rooftops of Heidelberg, Germany, 2008
Rooftops of Ripon, England in freezing fog, 2008
Rudesheim am Rhein, Germany, 2014
Bernkasel-Kues, November 2014
And, just in case Santa is reading, please don’t forget this neighborhood:
Snow-covered rooftops looking out over my village in Germany
And, one more note:
That roof belongs to naughtly neighbors. (They threw a liquor bottle in our bushes. Not nice. . .)
It is beautiful, isn’t it? Thanks. I took that photo in the early hours of the morning in early December. The weatherman says we may wake up to the same scene tomorrow morning–I’m keeping my fingers crossed and my camera ready! Merry Christmas!
I’m guessing their teenage son is the culprit. You know those crazy teenagers… Please don’t say “dogpoopapult” in my son’s presence; it will just give him ideas! Happy New Year!
That final photo of the naughty neighbor’s rooftop looks like it could be a Thomas Kinkade painting; the frame of the moon is magical.

Liquor bottle in your bushes? Uncool! Time to break out the dogpoopapult 😉
